Critical Care

Critical Care is a catchall area in the hospital for people who need very close observation due to their condition or the technology being used as part of their care.

Common Procedures

Often heart rate, blood pressure or breathing needs to be kept stable, or the person needs significant pain control or sedation as a part of treatment.

Additional Information

A normal day or a normal procedure is rare in Critical Care — illness, trauma, stroke, heart attack and the complications of a myriad of other problems bring people to this department.
