Preventing breast cancer through breast screening and mammograms, the Breast Clinic also treats other problems like breast discharge, tenderness, pain or enlargement. For more information, see Women's Breast Health.
Common Procedures
Common procedures include regular mammograms, and diagnostic mammograms — the follow-up mammogram scheduled when an abnormality appears on an initial mammogram. The Breast Clinic also removes tissue to determine if an area is cancerous or not (called a breast biopsy).
Additional Information
For most breast-related concerns (lumps, discharge, etc.) you can refer yourself to the Breast Clinic, although a physician's referral is required for some procedures.
