61 for 61

Classic Rock 107.9 The Fox, did an outstanding job telling the story of the MeritCare Roger Maris Cancer Center while at the same time raising a lot of money during the 2008 61 for 61 event. During the 3-day event, radio personalities interviewed many cancer patients who shared their courageous stories. Cancer Center staff educated the public on various programs and the important work that goes on at the Cancer Center.

With the support of the business community and individuals of our region, the total raised during The Fox 107.9 61 for 61 event was over $153,000 and money continues to come in. All dollars raised will support research and patient comfort programs at the MeritCare Roger Maris Cancer Center.
