On February 2, 2004, MeritCare Health System hosted a live, surgical webcast of a bypass surgery on a beating heart. The surgery took place at MeritCare in Fargo, N.D., and is available for viewing by the public anywhere in the world. The webcast gives the general public a rare glimpse inside the operating room to view surgery on a beating heart.
