MeritCare Occupational Health services can be delivered right to your doorstep--literally. Our fifth-wheel mobile unit allows us to bring our services directly to your company when you need them. Our convenient, on-site testing and services will save you time and money.
MeritCare can do the audiometric tests right at the work site to bring companies into compliance with OSHA Hearing Conservation Standard 29 CFR 1910.95. The mobile unit provides a comfortable, professional environment, with heating, air conditioning, and training room.
Having audiometric testing done on-site significantly reduces the amount of time an employee is away from the work. With up to eight audiometric booths in the mobile unit, MeritCare can test as many as 48 employees each hour. Employees complete the entire process: training and audiometric testing, in less than 20 minutes.

New OSHA Criteria for Reporting Hearing Loss
In January 2001 the Occupational Safety and Health Administration published a revision to it's criteria for recording and reporting occupational hearing loss effective January 1, 2003 (29CFR1904). The new rule requires employers to record work-related hearing loss when there is a 10 dB shift in hearing acuity that has resulted in a total of 25 dB level of hearing loss above audiometric zero.
