Exercise Physiology
The exercise physiologists at MeritCare Sports Medicine have Masters-level training in Exercise Science related fields. In addition to designing workout plans, they educate, answer questions and motivate clients to achieve what they set out to do.

- Two 40-meter sprint training tracks (straight-aways), including one with a 1.5 percent grade for appropriate over-speed training

- Harnesses, towing sleds and pulleys for proper speed enhancement

- An electronic timing mat to help determine the training loads necessary to maximize power output
- Biomechanical video analysis of a client's performance technique

- Three Olympic lifting platforms and 30 pieces of free-weight training equipment
- More than 75 pieces of top-of-the-line strength training and cardiovascular equipment
- A portable pitching mound and netting system
- A staff that includes certified strength and conditioning specialists, certified Olympic lifting instructors and former collegiate coaches
