embrace – MeritCare Cancer Survivorship Program
The embrace Survivorship Program offers education and resources for patients who are managing cancer. Information is available on grief management, coping, financial concerns, nutrition and many other day-to-day challenges cancer survivors face.
Cancer Risk Assessment Program
Most people who develop breast, ovarian or colorectal cancer do not have an inherited tendency for cancer. However, studies have shown that some people and families are at increased risk of developing these cancers if they carry specific genetic information. If you or your family members have been diagnosed with cancer, your doctor or nurse may refer you to this program. The focus of this program is to help people with a strong family history of certain cancers assess their personal risk of developing cancer. This assessment will help to formulate an individualized plan to reduce risk and promote early detection. Risk Assessment Programs are supported by the MeritCare Foundation.
