Your Involvement in Patient Care During Research
Because you know your patient best, MeritCare actively supports continued physician involvement during research. As the referring physician, you will work with the MeritCare study coordinator to determine your patient's eligibility for the study as well as weigh the potential benefits and risks of involvement for your patient. Through the duration of the trial, you can continue to provide all patient care unrelated to the study, allowing you to maintain and build upon your relationship with your patient and ensuring a smooth transition between health care providers.
