Information About MeritCare Home Care Lisbon
MeritCare Home Care, a service of MeritCare Hospital, has been providing quality home healthcare since 1985. Care is provided to people of all ages, with services designed to meet individual needs. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, handicap or age. MeritCare Home Care is a personal and economical alternative to lengthy and costly hospital or institutional care. We offer quality, comprehensive services in the comfort of home.
After an individual has been referred to home care, a member of the MeritCare Home Care team meets with the patient/client and family to discuss their needs. A plan of treatment is developed in cooperation with the patient/client, physician, family and other professional personnel involved in providing services. All services are coordinated by MeritCare Home Care. Our goal is to provide services to patients/clients and families within hours of contacting us.
Additional Services
- A free evaluation visit can be arranged to determine if home care services are feasible.
Services are provided on a 24-hour per day, seven-day per week basis.
- Services are available in the North Dakota counties of Cass, Traill, Richland, Sargent, Ransom, Steele, Stutsman, Barnes, Griggs, Lamoure, and Dickey; and the Minnesota
counties of: Clay, Norman, Wilkin, Becker, Otter Tail, Mahnomen and Polk.
- The cost of home care depends on the services provided. Medicare, Medicaid,
VA, Private Insurance, and Workers Compensation often cover many of the costs. For those services covered by third party reimbursement, MeritCare Home Care will complete the necessary claim forms and bill directly to the insurance company.
- For patients and families who are unsure if a particular service is covered by their insurance policy, MeritCare Home Care will contact the insurance carrier in advance of services to verify the extent of coverage
