Sanford Health-MeritCare Corporate Team

On November 2, 2009, MeritCare Health System and Sanford Health of Sioux Falls, S.D., merged into one stronger health system. The Sanford Health-MeritCare Corporate Team has equal representation from both Sanford and MeritCare.

Dennis Millirons is responsible for the overall operations of the hospital at MeritCare Medical Center in Fargo. He most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Condell Health Network and Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Ill.

 
Dr. Bruce G. Pitts

Dr. Bruce G. Pitts

President, MeritCare Medical Group

Dr. Bruce Pitts is responsible for the overall management and operations of MeritCare Medical Group and MeritCare Clinics. He previously served as executive vice president of clinical services. Dr. Pitts joined Fargo Clinic in 1982 as a practicing internal medicine specialist and was named senior executive in 1997.

President, MeritCare Health Network

Doug Vang is responsible for the overall management of the MeritCare Network of community hospitals. He joined MeritCare in 2006 and most recently served as senior vice president of regional health services.
