Find out more about 61for61

New York Yankee outfielder Roger Maris, of Fargo, North Dakota, is best known for hitting sixty-one home runs in 1961. His 61 in 61 set a new major league record, breaking Babe Ruth's previous mark of 60 hit in 1927. Maris' record stood for 37 years, until Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa finished the 1998 season with 70 and 66 homeruns respectively.

In celebration of Roger Maris' record-breaking 61st homerun in 1961, the FOX radio's morning team raises money for the MeritCare Roger Maris Cancer Center. Join the Fox Morning Show team for hours of touching stories and great music while raising money for a great cause.

The Annual 61for61 benefit for MeritCare Roger Maris Cancer Center is three days filled with touching stories, a variety of entertainment, a silent auction, a run/walk, a motorcycle ride, a pancake feed and much, much more.

Thank you for your generous support and we look forward to your continued involvement in coming years.
