2003 Honorary Chairperson
Peg Knudson, Detroit Lakes, Minn.

The Home Run is an organized way to focus on the people in our lives who have lived with, or are currently living with cancer.

"I think the focused effort of planning to participate in the Home Run is a great way to keep the memory alive of my dad and continue to hope for more cancer survivors like my mom."

Peg Knudson, of Detroit Lakes, Minn. and assistant general manager at Ameripride Services in Fargo, is Honorary Chairperson of the 2003 Home Run. In past years, Peg has participated in the Home Run to honor the memory of her friend and to celebrate her mother's survival. Peg and her family were introduced to cancer in 1995 when her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. After five years of treatment, she is currently cancer free. Peg's father was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1998. Unfortunately, this year he passed away on May 30. This year Peg will be participating in the Home Run to honor the memory of her father.
