MeritCare Health System is viewed by its communities as a valued collaborative partner – a convener, a catalyst, and a positive force in improving the health and quality of life of those who reside in the communities that we serve. We also reach out to meet the broad health needs of communities. As a not-for-profit system, we take seriously our community-benefit responsibility.

Spiritual Care

Spiritual Care is available at MeritCare through our team of professional Chaplains and specially trained Spiritual Care Visitors. We offer supportive spiritual care to all – respecting culture, beliefs and traditions – and we work closely with the interdisciplinary team caring for you and your family. Chaplains are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week by dialing the operator and asking for the on-call Chaplain or by making the request through your nurse. They can also be reached at 234-6980.
